The Flatiron/Parsons/Doppelmayr Team combines two of the nation’s leaders in design-build transportation projects and an expert supplier of custom automated guideway transit (AGT) vehicles and systems. We offer BART a high performance, cost-effective urban transportation solution for the OAC Project. Please visit www.bart.gov/oac or contact Micaela Mazzini at email@example.com for more information.
Flatiron is a Bay Area based contractor with a construction volume of over $1 billion in 2008 and one of the leading providers of design-build transportation construction and civil engineering in North America.
Parsons has been planning and designing transit systems in the Bay Area for
over 50 years, and has more design-build experience than any other contractor in North America.
Doppelmayr brings its more than 100 years experience in ropeway installations to the urban transportation market through proven AGT technology using cable-propulsion and advanced truss guideway systems.
The Oakland Airport Connector (OAC) links BART's Coliseum Station with the Oakland International Airport via a mostly elevated automated people mover (APM) system along Hegenberger Avenue. Trains will leave every four to five minutes between the Airport and BART Stations, replacing the current AirBART bus system. Similar to the AirTrain at the San Francisco International Airport, Oakland will now have a state-of-the-art train-to-plane connection, making it an attractive destination for business and travel.
The OAC Project consists of the following two broad components: the OAC Design-Build contract and
the OAC Operation and Maintenance contract. For more information on subcontracting and employment opportunities, please visit the Opportunities links above.
